DOT Lead Scout sends a small number of emails on your behalf: billing receipts, reminder alerts, and (on Engage+) a daily digest with leads to act on. This article explains every email type, when it fires, and how to control which ones you get.

The Daily Digest Rotation Engage+ #

On Engage+, you receive one digest email per day with a theme that rotates throughout the week. The rotation prevents email fatigue by varying what each day's message focuses on:
DayThemeSent at
MondayFresh Start — top 5 leads + weekly scorecard7:00 AM your time
TuesdayChange Signals — carriers with recent FMCSA changes7:00 AM your time
WednesdayPipeline Check-In — stale leads, overdue reminders7:00 AM your time
ThursdayNew Entrants Spotlight — fresh-authority carriers7:00 AM your time
FridayWeekend Prep — 3 quick-win calls + weekly recap7:00 AM your time
SaturdayNo email — rest day
SundayWeek Ahead Intelligence Brief — territory stats + Monday preview5:00 PM Eastern
One email per day, never two

Even if multiple cron jobs run, the system uses a per-day deduplication flag. You won't accidentally get two digest emails on the same day.

Reminder Alerts Engage+ #

When you set a reminder on a lead (call back, email, drop-in, or general follow-up), you get a notification at the scheduled time:
Reminder contact must be set in Profile

If you don't set a reminder email or phone in profile settings, the reminder still appears in the dashboard widget — but no notification will fire. See 4.6 Setting Reminders.

Billing Emails #

You can't opt out of billing emails

Receipts, payment-failure alerts, and subscription-change confirmations are operational emails — you receive them even if you unsubscribe from everything else. They're the legally-required record of what we're charging you.

List Refresh Notifications #

When one of your saved lead lists picks up new carriers from the FMCSA data sync, you can get a notification:

Unsubscribing From Specific Streams #

Every non-essential email has a List-Unsubscribe header (one-click in Gmail/Outlook) and a footer link. Clicking either records your unsubscribe at the stream level so you stop getting that type of email going forward.

Email streams you can unsubscribe from

StreamIncludes
notificationDaily digest, reminder alerts, list refresh notifications
dripTrial drip campaign and promotional emails
new_lead"New leads available" alerts
Unsubscribes are honored immediately

Once you're unsubscribed from a stream, every send loop checks before sending. Even the digest cron skips your account — no further emails of that type until you re-subscribe.
