All Plans
Subscription changes happen on the Plan tab in your portal. From there you can switch tiers, cancel, or update your card. The rules are designed to be predictable: upgrades take effect right away, downgrades wait for your next billing date, and cancellations let you keep access through the end of the period you already paid for.
Where to Manage Your Subscription
Open the portal
Log in at dotleadscout.com/portal.
Click the Plan tab
The Plan tab shows your current plan, upcoming renewal date, and Upgrade/Downgrade/Cancel buttons.
Upgrading Your Plan
What happens when you upgrade
- Your plan level updates instantly — new features unlock right away
- Stripe issues a prorated invoice for the rest of your current billing cycle at the new rate
- Your renewal date stays the same
- We send you an upgrade confirmation email with a list of the new features you just unlocked
Switching from a scheduled downgrade
If you previously scheduled a downgrade for the next cycle and change your mind, just upgrade (or re-select your current plan) and the pending downgrade is cancelled automatically.
Downgrading Your Plan
What happens when you downgrade
-
Status changes to
downgradingbut your plan level stays the same until the cycle ends - An effective date is shown in the confirmation — that's when the new plan takes over
- We email you a downgrade-scheduled confirmation listing the features you'll lose access to
- On the renewal date, Stripe charges the new plan's rate and your features adjust automatically
Changed your mind?
You can cancel a scheduled downgrade any time before the effective date by upgrading or by selecting your current plan again. No call, no email needed.
Cancelling Your Subscription
Click Cancel on the Plan tab
A confirmation modal opens with the date your access will end.
Confirm
Status changes to cancelling and you receive a cancellation-scheduled email.
Keep using until period end
All your features stay active. You can export your data, save your lists, or change your mind.
Period ends, account deactivates
Status changes to cancelled. We send a final cancellation confirmation email.
Reactivating after cancellation
Cancellation isn't deletion. Your account, lists, notes, and reminders are kept on file. If you re-subscribe later, everything comes back exactly as you left it — you're not starting over.
If a Payment Fails
-
Status changes to
past_dueand a banner appears in your portal - Stripe automatically retries the payment several times over the next few days
- You receive an email asking you to update your card
- Your features stay active during the retry window so you don't lose access while resolving it
If retries fail, your account is cancelled
If Stripe's retries all fail and you don't update your card, the subscription eventually moves to cancelled. Update your card as soon as you see the past-due banner to avoid this.
Data Retention After Cancellation
- Your account is preserved. Email, password, profile settings stay on file.
- Your lists and leads are kept indefinitely. Re-subscribing restores access to all of them.
- Your notes, reminders, and rate sheets are preserved. Nothing is deleted on cancellation.
- Re-subscribing reactivates everything — you don't start over.
Need full data deletion?
If you want a permanent account deletion (not just cancellation), email info@dotleadscout.com and we'll process a full erasure under our privacy policy.
