All Plans
Got a promo code from a webinar, partner program, or DOT Lead Scout team member? Coupon codes are applied at signup or on an existing subscription via the Plan tab. Discounts are processed through Stripe with a few common combinations: percent off, fixed amount off, free trial days, or "trial-plus-discount" combos.
Apply a Code #
At signup
On the Pay & Subscribe form, the Coupon Code (optional) field appears below the card details. Enter the code and click Apply before submitting payment.
Coupon Code Format #
- Codes use only letters, numbers, dashes, and underscores
- Codes are case-insensitive — the input auto-converts to uppercase as you type
- Codes are unique: a single code can't be duplicated across the system
-
Examples:
SAVE20,WEBINAR_2026,PARTNER-Q1
Applying a Code #
Type the code
Either field auto-uppercases as you type, so you don't need to worry about caps.
Click Apply
We validate the code against our database, your selected plan, and the Stripe environment.
See the discount
On success, a green confirmation shows the discount amount and how long it lasts. Today's price updates immediately.
Continue checkout
Click Pay & Subscribe (or Confirm Upgrade). The discount is applied to the actual Stripe subscription automatically.
What a Coupon Can Include #
| Discount component | What it does |
|---|---|
| Percentage off | Reduces the price by a percentage (e.g. 20% off, 50% off first month). |
| Fixed amount off | Subtracts a dollar amount (e.g. $10 off the first invoice). |
| Free trial days | Skips charging for the first N days. Today's price becomes $0; first charge happens after the trial ends. |
| Trial + discount combo | Free trial first, then the discount applies to the first invoice after the trial. E.g. "7 days free + 50% off first month." |
How Long the Discount Lasts #
Once
Discount applies to the first payment only. From the second payment onward, you pay full price.
Repeating
Discount applies for a fixed number of months (e.g. 3 months, 6 months). After that, full price.
Forever
Discount applies to every payment for as long as you stay subscribed. The longest and rarest type.
Why a Code Might Be Rejected #
- Code doesn't exist — double-check the spelling. Auto-uppercasing means case isn't the issue.
- Code is inactive — the code was deactivated by an admin or has expired.
- Maximum uses reached — some codes have a usage cap (e.g. first 50 customers). Once the cap is hit, the code stops working.
- Wrong Stripe environment — rare, but test-mode codes don't work in production and vice versa.
Stacking & Limits #
Only one code per subscription
A subscription can have one active coupon at a time. If you already have a code applied and try to add a second one, the second replaces the first.
- Coupons can't be combined with prorated upgrade refunds — you get one or the other on a given invoice
- If you cancel and re-subscribe, the original coupon does not automatically reapply — you'll need to enter the code again at checkout
- Coupons don't apply retroactively to past invoices
Removing an Applied Code #
- Click the small X in the green coupon confirmation box
- The discount is removed from the today's-price calculation
- Your subscription returns to full price immediately
- You can apply a different code if you have one
