Opportunity Signals are the radar cards on your dashboard that highlight the highest-priority leads in your pipeline. Each card represents a specific carrier signal — hot lead, new entrant, high-value fleet, HAZMAT, or compliance risk — and shows you exactly how many carriers in your pipeline fit that signal right now.
The Five Radar Cards #
Hot Leads
Carriers approaching their FMCSA audit deadline. New entrants must complete their first safety audit within 12 months — these carriers are on the clock.
New Entrants
Carriers whose operating authority is less than 18 months old. Still building their compliance program and likely without a primary clinic.
High Value
Driver-to-truck ratio of 1.5x or higher. Indicates driver turnover or fleet expansion — ongoing physical-exam demand.
HAZMAT
Carriers authorized to haul hazardous materials. Drivers need additional endorsements, often paid at premium rates.
At Risk
Carriers with a Conditional safety rating from FMCSA. They need to improve compliance — a strong outreach moment for medical exam services.
More signals will be added as we expand the system.

What Happens When You Click a Card #
?view_list=0&filter_preset=hot always shows your hot leads. How the Counts Are Computed #
| Card | Criterion |
|---|---|
| Hot Leads | Authority date > 12 months ago AND < 24 months ago (approaching first safety audit) |
| New Entrants | Authority date within the last 18 months |
| High Value | utilization_ratio >= 1.5 |
| HAZMAT | hm_ind = 1 (HAZMAT-authorized) |
| At Risk | safety_rating = C (Conditional) |
Opportunity Signals vs. Change Signals #
Two different systems
Opportunity Signals describe the carrier's current state — static facts like fleet ratio, HAZMAT authorization, or safety rating. Change Signals (see 6.4) describe what just changed — carriers adding drivers, reactivating, or having their safety rating downgraded. You'll see both on the dashboard.
