The kanban board is the default view of your Pipeline CRM. Every lead becomes a card, every stage becomes a column, and you can drag cards between columns to update status. It is the fastest way to see your whole pipeline at a glance.
This feature is available on the Engage plan
The Pipeline CRM is part of the Engage tier. Trial and Scout users can preview it but cannot save status changes, notes, or reminders. Upgrade any time from the Plan tab in the portal.
What you see on the board #
The kanban board has three main areas:
- KPI strip at the top — Leads, Hot, Quality, New, Won counts. Each one is clickable and filters the board.
- Pipeline distribution bar — visual breakdown of how many leads are in each stage.
- Columns — one per pipeline stage, with cards showing each lead.
Active stages (New, Connected, Qualified, Appointment, Converted) are always visible. Closed stages (Not Interested, Disqualified) are collapsed by default — click Show closed to expand them.
What is on each card #
Each lead card shows the most important info for quick scanning:
- Company name with DOT number underneath
- Quality score (0–100) in the top right
- Distance from clinic in miles
- Driver count — the bigger the number, the more recurring exam revenue
- Badges — Hot, High Value, New Entrant, At Risk, HAZMAT, etc.
- Reminder indicator — bell icon if there is a pending follow-up
- Last activity — when you last touched this lead
Cards are sorted by quality score
Inside each column, cards are sorted highest quality score first. Your best leads are always at the top of every stage.
Drag-and-drop to move leads #
The fastest way to update a lead's status is to drag its card to a new column.
Click and hold a card
Press the mouse button on a card and start dragging. The card highlights to show it is selected.
Drag to the destination column
As you drag over a different column, that column highlights. Drop the card anywhere inside the highlighted column.
Release to update
The card moves to the new column and the lead's status updates instantly. Column counts and KPIs refresh automatically.
Status changes save automatically
There is no save button. As soon as you drop the card, the change is saved to the database. If your network drops, you will see an error and the card will return to its original column.
Searching within columns #
Every column has a search box at the top. Type any portion of a carrier's name or DOT number and the column filters down to matching cards instantly.
Search is per-column, so you can be searching for one carrier in New and a different one in Qualified at the same time.
Searching helps with large columns
If your New column has hundreds of leads, scrolling to find one is painful. Search by city, name, or DOT number to jump right to the lead you want.
Infinite scroll for big columns #
Each column initially loads the top 15 leads (sorted by quality score). As you scroll down, more leads load automatically — no pagination buttons needed.
For very large columns (1,000+ leads), this keeps the board snappy while still letting you reach every lead if you need to.
Using KPI tiles as filters #
The KPI tiles at the top of the board are not just stats — they are also one-click filters.
| Tile | What It Counts | What It Filters To |
|---|---|---|
| Leads | Total active leads | Show everything (clears filters). |
| Hot | Authority within 10 months | Show only hot leads on the board. |
| Quality | Quality score 70+ | Show only high-quality leads. |
| New | New entrants (under 18 months) | Show only new entrants. |
| Won | Converted leads | Show only converted carriers. |
Toggle between Board and List views #
The kanban board is the default. If you prefer a sortable spreadsheet, click List in the top right to switch.
Board view
Visual, drag-and-drop, grouped by stage. Best for daily workflow and seeing your pipeline shape.
List view
Tabular, sortable by column. Best for bulk actions, exports, and finding specific leads.
Your view preference is remembered per session. Switch any time without losing your filters or search.
Opening a lead from the board #
Click anywhere on a card (except the drag handle) to open the full Lead Detail Panel. From there you can read all the FMCSA data, log calls, add notes, send emails, and set reminders — without losing your place on the board.
Closing the detail panel returns you to the board exactly where you left off, with any updates already reflected.
