Compare DOT Lead Scout’s two key paid plans — Scout and Engage — to find the right fit for your practice.
Plan Overview #
Every DOT Lead Scout plan gives you access to the FMCSA national registry of over 4 million motor carriers. The plans differ in three main areas: search radius (how far from your clinic you can search), CRM & outreach tools (pipeline management, call scripts, email), and intelligence features (growth trends, change signals, daily action plans).
All plans include full contact information, fleet data, quality badges, opportunity scoring, and CSV/Excel exports.

Full Feature Comparison #
Here’s a detailed side-by-side breakdown of what’s included in each plan.
Free Trial #
Every new account starts with a free trial. The trial lets you search for motor carriers near your clinic, preview lead data with quality badges, and experience the Lead Scout search tool — all without entering a credit card.
During the trial, you can create lead lists and see summary information for carriers in your area. Some contact details, 5 full contact unlocks, fleet breakdowns, and CRM features unlock when you choose a paid plan.
Use the trial to create a list around your clinic's zip code and see how many carriers are in your area. That count alone will show you the revenue opportunity — then choose the plan that fits your outreach style.
Billing & Upgrades #
DOT Lead Scout subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. Here’s what you need to know about how billing works.
When you upgrade mid-cycle, you only pay the difference for the remaining days. No double-billing.
If you downgrade, your current plan stays active until the end of the billing period, then switches.
If you cancel, your lead lists, notes, and pipeline data are preserved. You can resubscribe and pick up where you left off.
All plans are month-to-month. Cancel anytime from the My Plan page with no cancellation fees.
Which Plan Is Right for Me? #
Choose Scout if…
You want to explore the lead data in your area, export lists for use in your own CRM or spreadsheet, and handle outreach outside the platform. Scout gives you the discovery layer without the built-in sales tools.
Choose Engage if…
You want a complete prospecting workflow in one place — search for leads, contact them with built-in scripts and email, track them through a pipeline, and get daily recommendations on who to call next. This is the most popular plan for active prospectors.
Start with the free trial to see how many carriers are near your clinic. Most users who actively prospect choose Engage for the pipeline CRM and outreach tools. You can always upgrade or downgrade later.
